Karen L. Smith
Dr. Karen Smith is a podiatrist (foot and ankle surgeon) and an award-winning author. Her interest in real estate came about following her and her husband’s long search for a home in Paradise Valley, where they currently reside with their three sons.
Karen grew up in Kansas. During her formative years she was a gymnast, the National Grand Champion of Women’s Tae Kwon Do Black Belts in 1989, and Miss T.E.E.N. Kansas in 1991. She received her undergraduate degrees in Human Biology and Psychology at the University of Kansas.
Karen earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Miami Shores, Florida, where she also obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. Her surgical training was completed at Highland’s Foot and Ankle Institute in Denver, Colorado.
Karen moved to the Valley in 2005 and of all the places Karen has lived, Arizona has been her very favorite. She loves being a mom and she especially enjoys collaborating with fellow moms.
